License information

The Licence Information page lets an admin view the organization's current licence status and activate a new licence code. It lives under Global settings and is organized into two tabs: Active licence and Update licence.

Tab 1: Active licence​

Displays read-only details of the licence currently applied to the account.

General information​

  • Licenced for: organization name (e.g. Accton)
  • Licenced for domain: the domain the licence is bound to (e.g. domain.accton.io)

Licence details​

Licence data is broken into module sections (e.g. Portal, Analytics). Each module section repeats the same field set:

  • License type — e.g. per module
  • Enabled — Yes / No
  • Need to update — Yes / No
  • Expired — Yes / No
  • Licence start date — e.g. 12 Jun 2026
  • Licence end date — e.g. 12 Jun 2027
  • Licence post end date — grace-period end date, e.g. 12 Jul 2027
  • Usage — current usage vs. limit, shown as used / total (e.g. 16 / 50); the "used" number is bolded

Each module's fields are displayed as label/value rows, with the module name as a bold sub-heading above its block.

Tab 2: Update licence​

Lets the admin submit a new licence code to replace the active one.

Fields​

  • New licence code — multi-line text area for pasting the licence code
  • Save button — primary action, positioned below the text area

Licence types​

The system supports three licence types:

  • By roles
  • By modules
  • By active users

Licensing by roles​

Role-based licensing grants access to the portal according to the permission levels defined for users.

Access to the portal or hub is granted to a user together with a permission level. This is done by the administrator on the user profile editing page in the admin panel.

The number of possible users is strictly limited by the number of licences available for a given level.

When adding a user or granting them permissions, if the licence limit for that role is exceeded, the administrator will see a notification.

Licensing by modules​

Module-based licensing grants access to the corresponding modules: Hub and Auditor.

The total number of users who have access to the modules is limited, regardless of permission level.

When creating a user, if the overall licence limit is exhausted, the administrator will see a notification.

Licensing by active users​

Active-user-based licensing provides a hybrid system of granting permissions and applying limits.

Only the limits on the number of users with the Administrator and Editor levels are strictly enforced. The number of Reader licences is defined, but no restrictions on portal or hub access are applied once that limit is reached.

When adding a user or granting them Administrator or Editor permissions, if the licence limit is exceeded, the administrator will see a notification. When adding a Reader beyond the limit, no restrictions are applied.

Monthly user activity is recorded in a separate file for monitoring compliance with the limits. The file can be exported from the License usage section.
