Categories
Admin can manage categories and configure their visibility in filters.
Functionality
- Displays a hierarchical list of all categories.
- Categories can be deleted or opened on the Category page
- Supports multi-select for bulk deletion.
- When hovering over a category name, an "Open" icon appears — clicking it opens the Category page
- Clicking on a parent category name expands or collapses its child categories.
Category settings
- "Show in filters" toggle (on/off).
- If enabled for a parent category, the setting is automatically applied to all its child categories.
- Defines whether the category is available for filtering in related views.
Filtering logic
- By default, all categories linked to at least one object are displayed.
- When a filter by object type is applied:
- Shows categories linked to the selected type.
- If multiple types are selected, shows categories linked to at least one of them.
Category Actions (visibility & permissions)
Depending on the user role, the following actions are available for each category:
- Pin to dashboard – all users
- Subscribe – all users
- Edit – editors, admins
- Manage permissions – admins only
- Delete – editors, admins
- View object count – depends on access rights
