This page controls the portal search index and allows admins to rebuild it when needed.

The Re-index button starts a full re-indexing process of portal content. During re-indexing, the system updates the search index and refreshes internal references used for search, navigation, permissions, and content discovery.

All re-indexing activities are recorded in the Global Log.

The current indexing status is also displayed on this page, allowing admins to monitor whether an indexing process is currently running.

When to use Re-index​

Re-indexing is recommended in the following situations:

  • After importing a large volume of data.
  • After creating or updating a large number of objects and relationships manually.
  • After a system deployment or upgrade.
  • When search results appear incomplete or outdated.
  • When users cannot see all expected content despite having the required permissions.
  • When content visibility, navigation, or object relationships appear inconsistent.

Re-indexing helps ensure that search results, permissions, object relationships, and content visibility are displayed correctly across the portal.
