Archived
The archiving functionality automatically identifies objects that have become unavailable or were deleted from BI and assigns them the system status Archived. This applies to objects: workspaces, reports and their child elements (dashboards), - as well as categories.
Archived objects:
- Are identified during Discovery if the object no longer exists in BI or returns a 404.
- Unique dependent entities of an archived report also receive the Archived status (shared entities are not affected).
- Are removed from the scope after Discovery/parsing is completed.
Restrictions and available actions:
- The status of an archived object cannot be changed manually.
- Not available: moving, editing, absorbing.
- Available: export to PDF/XLSX, copying (the copy receives Published status), deleting the object and its child elements (Clear from import), description generation, sharing.
UI and filters:
- Archived objects are visually distinguished (e.g., dark gray blur or a different border).
- The Archived label is shown on the object view page.
- On list pages, filters are available: With archived and Only archived.
Business processes and logging:
- Archived objects can participate in business processes.
- Object history and the Global log record the assignment of the Archived status and any category changes when categories become archived.
