Picked for me

The Picked for me tab provides users with a personalized view of objects based on their subscriptions and recent access.

Display Rules

  • Subscribed categories – shows all objects that belong to the categories the user is subscribed to.

  • Recent access – includes reports to which the user gained access in the last 30 days, including those granted after nightly access synchronization.

  • Visibility conditions:

    • Only objects created after the user subscribed to a category are displayed.
    • Newly added objects within subscribed categories remain visible here for 30 days.
    • Only objects of types configured to be shown in this tab are displayed (see Object Type Settings below).

Object Type Settings

For each object type, administrators can configure whether objects of this type should appear in the Picked for me tab:

  • In the Create/Edit Object Type page (Admin Panel), the setting Show on Picked for me is available.
  • If enabled (default), objects of this type are displayed in Picked for me when the user subscribes to the relevant category.
  • If disabled, objects of this type are excluded from the tab, even if they belong to a subscribed category.
  • This setting also applies to imported objects.

For example:

  • If is_report = true and pb_id is not null but Show on Picked for me is disabled for the type, such objects will not appear in the tab.

Activity Indicator

To notify users about new objects:

  • A green indicator (#bcc74b) is displayed on the Picked for me tab whenever a new object (type = recommended) appears since the user’s last visit to the dashboard.
  • The indicator remains active until the user opens the Picked for me tab.
  • After opening the tab and navigating further (to another tab, page, or upon refresh), the indicator is no longer shown.

Purpose

This functionality ensures users can quickly identify and access newly recommended content related to their interests, while administrators retain control over which object types are eligible for display.
