Category page: Create / Edit
The user with Editor and Admin licenses can Create and Edit categories
To create you can use the Plus button from any page
To edit you can use the Edit button from the Category view or All categories pages.

- Save - button for saving changes
- Cancel - button for closing the current page, the user goes to the previous page
Category rules
Roles are managed and created in the admin panel.
Parent category limits available object types. But allows to make 5 hierarchical levels of categories. When the category has parent attached objects will be automatically inherit to the parent too
If the parent category choose to display in menu, all new child categories will automatically display too.
Manual editing allows users to remove inherited parent categories.
Please note: Inheritance is one-way. Assigning a parent category (e.g., X) does not assign the object to its child categories (e.g., X1, X1.1).
Category inheritance for related objects
Categories assigned to a report can be automatically inherited by related objects when this option is enabled for the Report object type.
If a report belongs to a specific category, the same category is automatically assigned to child hierarchical objects.
or
objects automatically imported from BI inherit the category from BI workspace when the Attach all objects to workspace category setting enabled.
